What is a Guardian?

Guardianship is a legal process that grants an individual (the Guardian) authority to make medical decisions on behalf of an incapacitated adult.

What is a Conservator?

Conservatorship is the legal process that grants an Individual (The Conservator) authority to make financial decisions on Behalf of an Incapacitated adult.

What is a Personal Representative?

A Personal Representative is the executer or administrator of the estate of a decease person.  The personal representatives’ duties include liquidating and divesting assets in accordance with the individuals last will and testament and/or in accordance with state law if no Will exists.

What is an Incapacitated Person?

An incapacitated person is someone with a diagnosed condition that renders them unable to make and/or communicate decisions that about their health, safety or self-care. Incapacity can be related to medical condition, psychiatric condition, or intellectual disability.
